Located in East Williamsburg on Metropolitan Avenue, this 1920 three-story multi-family building had straightforward issues: the brick was cracking and leaking in multiple locations, the windows needed replacing, the entry door and surround were deteriorating and the sidewalk and steps were sinking.
The restored facade features a decorative entry surround, new wood windows and repointed masonry. The two-tone flemish bond brick received dark grout to unify the pattern. The custom mahogany entry doors and surround provide detail to an otherwise simple facade while the pilasters reflect some of its history.
